Pawns are generally short compared to a lot of people with a height of 120 cm. Pawns are always colored black or in some cases they might have a variation of gray. The Majority of pawns look almost identical, this is because they are a mass produced species made to be easily replaceable. For some the only noticable difference between individual pawns might be a different hairstyle so that they can be recognised by other species, but this is usualy reserved for those that are important enough to interact with other species in any significant ways. Some Pawns can be custom made to fit very specific purposes but this only accounts for 0.00001% of the population.
Pawns have visible divisions on their bodies, this was an intentional choice so that it would be easy to replace damaged parts. Their face is removable to access their memory cells where their memories are stored. The port on their back is there to connect to external tech that can grant them additional abilities. For example, they could connect it to a weapon for additional precision, or they could connect to a terminal for faster management of information. It is especially important for maintenance diagnostics to know the general condition of the Pawn.
